Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
Universal Translation and Staffing is seeking On-call Interpreters. This position will report to the General Manager on a weekly basis. The main goal is to provide translation and interpretation services to clinics, hospitals, police department, county, and/or other private companies.
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
- High school or equivalent education
- Able to work with diverse population
- A self-motivated and organized individual with strong multitask, hands-on skills
- Must be able to speak English and one of the following languages:
- Laotian
- Hindi
- Vietnamese
- Korean
- Mandarin
- Cantonese
- Thai
- Japanese
- Tagalog
- Hmong
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Being able to work independently and as a team
- Positive working relationships with staff and other outside parties
- Must have a valid drivers license and own transportation
